Over 5 years ago when I started my first business I decided to host a gathering for women who had ideas they wanted to act on. I knew from speaking with several women that there were many women with ideas who hadn't taken any action do to lack of knowing how or where to start.
I wrote a simple post on Facebook and invited women to join me and over 30 women showed up! Some women I had never even met and others had driven from over an hour away to be there. I was completely blown away!
This showed me a few things. It showed me that women have ideas and that with some clarity and direction they are more than ready to act on them!
If you have an idea, then I want to share some of my best tips for getting started on turning that into a business with you today.
Tip #1: Create a clear vision
First things first, you need to get clarity around your vision. The best way to do this is to grab a blank sheet of paper and either write or draw out the vision you have on paper. This will help you get clarity around your vision and putting it on paper is the first step to making it happen!
Tip #2: Set goals
The next thing you want to do is set milestones that will help you get to where you want to go. I remember having my first business vision and feeling like I didn't know how to get there. My vision seemed so big and I knew it would take time to build. So I set goals that would help me get closer and closer to my vision.
Tip #3: Create action steps
Once you have goals, create action steps for how you are going to get to those goals. How can you take those milestones and turn them into bite-sized pieces? Create some action steps that feel doable and your vision will feel more doable!
Tip #4: Make it happen
Finally, start making things happen! I truly believe that the hardest part is starting. Once you start, things will flow and moving towards your vision will seem more doable!
You're idea, it's something you need to get out into the world! Others need it and it will bring you so much joy and fulfillment! It might seem big but it's not impossible. The sooner you start, the sooner you'll get there!
