When it comes to online marketing, one of the main complaints I hear from entrepreneurs is that it takes way too much time.
I get it, online marketing can feel overwhelming. Especially when you have so many different experts telling you to do so many different things!
However, I have created processes and strategies that help me manage my online marketing in just a few hours every month! Today, I want to share what those things are with you so that you too can save time with your online marketing.
Tip #1: Have a Strategy
I know I talk about this a lot, but having a strategy saves you a TON of time. Why? Well think about all the time you spend wondering what you should post on Instagram or what your blog should be about. Think about how many times you wonder if you are on the right platform or not. Having a strategy in place helps you get clear on ALL of those things helping you save time. Know what platforms you should and want to be on, know what content you are going to put out and focus your time and energy on that.
Tip #2: Create a Calendar
One of my best friends when it comes to online marketing is my monthly calendar. Whether you prefer paper or digital (I use paper) have a calendar that is specific for your online marketing. Before the start of each month, I sit down and plan out my marketing for the entire month (including social, blog, emails and launches if applicable). No joke, it takes me about 20 minutes. 20 minutes to map out all of my content for the month! It is well worth it and so beneficial with knowing what you want to focus on that month and what you need to promote.
Tip #3: Use Tools
The final thing I use each and every single month is tools. These will also quickly become your best friend! There are tools to schedule your social content, your blog posts, your emails, etc. After mapping out my content I write it and then use tools to schedule it all and voila! My content is done for the entire month in one sitting. I just spend the rest of the month watching all my social posts go up, my emails get sent out, and my blogs get published. Some of my favorite tools include: Hootsuite, Viralwoot, Schedugram, Mailchimp, and Squarespace.
These tips allow my marketing to run on autopilot while I sip on some coffee and work on other areas of my business. Do you use any of these tips? If you don't, start in 2018 and see how they will make your life easier!
